The regulation of industrial pollution is clearly difficult in a rapidly industrializing, low-income setting. In addition to the general lack of resources for monitoring and enforcement, authorities must deal with the asymmetric nature of the information and multiple nonpoint sources of pollution. In this study we look at efforts to regulate chemical plants in Ankleshwar, in the Indian state of Gujarat. The plants are located in an industrial estate, which provides interesting preconditions for a form of two-tier regulation, in which an industry association becomes an intermediary between the government and individual firms: it monitors its members' pollution and promotes compliance with the government's environmental regulations. O vírus da Artrite-encefalite caprina (CAEV) pertence à família Retroviridae, gênero Lentivirus. O CAEV infecta caprinos do mundo inteiro causando artrite, encefalite, mamite, pneumonia e emagrecimento progressivo. Este trabalho mostra a formação de uma quimera construída através da mistura da p28 do CAEV com glutaraldeído e CPSMV, purificada por meio de cromatografia em biogel e sephadex G-150. As cromatografias foram monitoradas através de leituras em espectrofotômetro no comprimento de onda de 280nm, dos líquidos coletados nos tubos. Os picos contendo a quimera foram coletados e submetidos à eletroforese (SDS-PAGE), sendo assim evidenciada a banda correspondente à mesma. China’s capital-intensive, export-oriented, spectacular economic growth since launching its open-door policy and economic reforms in late 1978 not only has created jobs and has lifted millions of the Chinese people out of poverty, but also has given rise to unprecedented environmental pollution and CO2 emissions. While estimates of the embedded CO2 emissions in China’s trade differ, both single country studies for China and global studies show a hefty chunk of China’s CO2 emissions embedded in trade.
